COLOGNE TAPE - RENDER 2 (MAGAZINE EDIT)
Here is the wonderful slo-mo house jam I've found in the latest Beats In Space podcast with Superpitcher. It's a Magazine Edit on "Render 2" by Cologne-based electronic-supercollective Cologne Tape.
Members of Cologne Tape include Ada, Axel Willner (The Field), Jorg Burger, Jens-Uwe Beyer (Popnoname), John Harten, Philipp Janzen (Von Spar), Daniel Ansorge and Battles' drummer John Stanie. As you see, this is truly an epic project and I bet that just the names of it creators make you wanna check it.
All of the five tracks on "Render" EP are worth listening but I'd recommend you to start with "Render 2 (Magazine Edit)", 'cause it's definetely one of the main slo-mo house anthems of the year. I just don't know how I've overlooked it?

2010 RECORDS THAT I REALLY DIG - TOP 50 ALBUMS CHART
Well, 2010 was a pretty weak year in the musical history and there were no any remarkable masterpieces like Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon" in 1973 or even Animal Collective's "Merriweather Post Pavilion" in 2009. Everything was very modest and poor.
Anyway, lots of nice qualitative music here. For example, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti's "Before Today", Autechre's "Oversteps" and so on. Check out the list of my favourite 2010 albums to be sure:

THE STONE ROSES - FOOLS GOLD (PHILIPPE VOUS AIME EDIT)
Made an easy edit of The Stone Roses' "Fools Gold" just to play at tomorrow's party. Pitched up the tempo, looped some moments and got rid of nearly 80 percents of vocal line. I really love Ian Brown's voice but in this case it ruins all of the track's drive which I need for a party.
As you see, not much work; but that's exactly what I need.

THIS IS THE INSPIRATION MIX #1

Tracklist:
01. Ripperton - Solastalgia
02. Pantha du Prince - The Splendour (feat. Tyler Pope)
03. John Roberts - August
04. Clarisse Muvemba - Roses (Bangana Remix)
05. Patrice Bäumel - Sub
06. Pawel - Kramnik
07. Martyn - Miniluv
08. Tama Sumo & Prosumer - Rarified (The Oliverwho Factory Remix)
09. Caribou - Leave House (Motor City Drum Ensemble Remix)
10. TJ & DJ Raybone - Gone
This is the first mix in my "This Is The Inspiration" mixtape series dedicated to the music that inspires me to create, live and have fun. It consists of tracks produced by my favourite modern techno/house producers including Pantha du Prince, John Roberts, Prosumer, Motor City Drum Ensemble, etc.
But it doesn't mean that every episode of "This Is The Inspiration" will be the same, no.
In my future mixes you'll hear absolutely different material in various genres ranging from ambient to abstract hip-hop, from smooth jazz to detroit techno and so on.
Sometimes I'll even put my own tracks and remixes as well as the music written by my friends. Maybe someday it will inspire someone too :).
